Farah Pitcher
Preparing for Success Fellow

Farah Pitcher is the Preparing for Success Fellow at the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, where she will make meaningful contributions to focus areas connected to Preparing for Success—Early Childhood, Afterschool, Young Adults & Working Families—and Caregivers. This Philanthropy Fellowship is in partnership with the Council of Michigan Foundations, where she will learn more about Michigan philanthropy, nonprofits, and collaborate with fellows stationed at other grantmaking institutions.
Prior to her start at the Foundation, Farah interned with the U.S. Government Accountability Office on their Science, Technology Assessment, and Analytics team exploring impacts of the OSTP 2022 Public Access Memo set to go into effect later this year. Prior to that experience, she worked with the State Policy and Government Affairs team at U.S. Water Alliance leading a research project on ballot initiatives as a source of funding for water infrastructure and water affordability projects. During her graduate studies, Farah was a research assistant with the Science, Technology and Public Policy Program and a policy analyst with the Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy at the University of Michigan.
Farah holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan Ford School with a concentration in social policy and science & technology policy and a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Health, and Society and Political Science from the University of Michigan. In her free time, you can find her exploring local food spots on her food Instagram page, reading, or cuddling with her cat Marshall.
